Every summer around the first weekend in August Boat Center holds our annual “Summer Island Getaway”, a great family-oriented event for all our customers who have purchased boats from us! We invite all our customers to join us, along with their boat of course, for a relaxing end of summer “Low-Key” three day weekend to the Island of South Bimini in the beautiful Bahamas, only 45 nautical miles East of Miami. Our host resort is “Bimini Sands” and all your room and dock slips reservations are made directly with them. You can review the resort at www.biminisands.com.
A low cost team entry fee through Boat Center covers the Friday afternoon captains party with food and drinks as well as the boats entry in Saturdays fishing & biggest Lobster tournament. Your entry fee also covers Saturday nights awards dinner with lots of prizes for your team down at the Beach Club! All customers will be notified a few months in advance as to the exact dates so they can have an opportunity to sign up as slots fill up fast.
The August 2010 "Summer Island Getaway" was a great event this year as one of our best! We had 17 boats and almost 120 guests! The weather was great Friday and Saturday with calm seas and sunny skies. Many nice fish and Lobster were weighed in for the one day tournament and everyone seemed to have a great time with their friends and family. Also many nice gifts and awards were handed out during the awards dinner while we all enjoyed our great food and drinks down at the Bimini Sands Beach Club! Thanks to all who joined us this year and we look forward to seeing you next year!
